“Smart Bangladesh” is a concept that refers to the idea of using technology and innovation to modernize and develop the country. The government aims to establish Smart Bangladesh – a developed and prosperous country by 2041 through the transition to a knowledge-based economy. This could include initiatives to improve infrastructure, education, and healthcare, and promote economic growth.And the main purpose is to improve the standard of living for its people. The government has fixed four bases — smart citizens, smart economy, smart government, and smart Society — to make the country ‘Smart Bangladesh’. It will establish, It will be implemented by the ICT Division.
In Smart Bangladesh, everything will rely on technology. Citizens will be skilled in using technology. The entire economy will be managed by technology. Massive efforts have already been undertaken to make the government and society smart in this regard.

স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ” একটি ধারণা যা দেশের আধুনিকীকরণ ও উন্নয়নে প্রযুক্তি এবং উদ্ভাবন ব্যবহার করার ধারণাকে বোঝায়। জ্ঞানভিত্তিক অর্থনীতিতে রূপান্তরের মাধ্যমে ২০৪১ সালের মধ্যে একটি উন্নত ও সমৃদ্ধ দেশ – স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ প্রতিষ্ঠা করা সরকারের লক্ষ্য। এর মধ্যে অবকাঠামো, শিক্ষা এবং স্বাস্থ্যসেবা উন্নত করার উদ্যোগ এবং অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধির প্রচার অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকতে পারে। এটি সরকারের দক্ষতা এবং কার্যকারিতা উন্নত করতে এবং নাগরিকদের জীবনযাত্রার মান উন্নত করতে নতুন প্রযুক্তি গ্রহণের সাথে জড়িত হতে পারে। বাংলাদেশকে আরও প্রতিযোগিতামূলক ও সমৃদ্ধ জাতি হিসেবে গড়ে তোলাই এসব প্রচেষ্টার লক্ষ্য। এবং মূল উদ্দেশ্য হল এর জনগণের জীবনযাত্রার মান উন্নত করা। দেশকে ‘স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ’ হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে সরকার চারটি ভিত্তি নির্ধারণ করেছে- স্মার্ট নাগরিক, স্মার্ট অর্থনীতি, স্মার্ট সরকার এবং স্মার্ট সোসাইটি।
আইসিটি বিভাগ এটি বাস্তবায়ন করবে। ক্ষুদ্র, কুটির, ক্ষুদ্র ও মাঝারি শিল্পের জিডিপি অবদান বাড়ানোর জন্য এন্টারপ্রাইজ-ভিত্তিক ব্যবসাগুলিকে বিনিয়োগ-বান্ধব স্টার্টআপ হিসাবে প্রস্তুত করা।
স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশে সবকিছুই নির্ভর করবে প্রযুক্তির ওপর। প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারে নাগরিকরা দক্ষ হবে। সমগ্র অর্থনীতি প্রযুক্তি দ্বারা পরিচালিত হবে। এ ব্যাপারে সরকার ও সমাজকে স্মার্ট করার ব্যাপক প্রচেষ্টা ইতিমধ্যেই হাতে নেওয়া হয়েছে।
